Privacy

Privacy policy

This policy explains what FilePolish does with your files, text and browser storage. It is written to match the code, not to describe an aspiration.

The short version

FilePolish is built to keep your files on your device. We do not ask for an account, do not use tracking cookies and do not receive files from local tools. Only AI text and contact messages leave your device, and each is disclosed before sending. The one third-party embed is the Support Kori donation widget, loaded only when you choose Support Me; after that, supportkori.com may set its own cookies and load its own services.

Your files

PDF, image, ZIP and data tools run in your browser. Files are not uploaded to or stored on our servers. Unless you download a result, it exists only in your tab's memory.

AI tools

When you use an AI tool, the text you provide is sent to the AI provider. A notice and consent step come first. We do not log or store prompts or outputs. The provider's privacy policy also applies.

Contact messages

When you use the contact form, your name, email address, subject and message are sent to our server and delivered through Resend to our inbox. We use them only to reply and do not add you to a mailing list. Resend processes the message as our email provider, so its privacy policy also applies.

Local storage

Your browser stores your theme preference, AI acknowledgement and small UI state. These are not cookies and are not shared with other sites. The offline worker also caches the app shell, pages you have opened and static assets such as OCR models; it never caches your files or their contents. Clearing site data removes all of it.

Server logs

Our hosting provider, the AI route and Resend may keep standard security or delivery logs: time, IP address, request type and status. File contents, AI prompts and contact messages are not logged by FilePolish.

Analytics

There is no analytics at present. If cookieless, privacy-friendly analytics are added later, this policy will be updated first and the change will be disclosed on the site.

Sharing

We do not sell files or text. We use service providers such as hosting, the AI provider, Resend and Support Kori (donations, under its own terms) to run the service. There are no advertising networks.

Children

FilePolish is not directed at children and has no accounts. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your choices

Because files stay on your device, there is no stored file for us to delete. You can clear local storage in your browser settings, avoid the AI tools and choose exactly what you send through the contact form.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date will be updated and significant changes will be announced on the site. This draft will be reviewed with a lawyer before launch.
